Raising Funds for the Poppy Appeal with Lee Riley
Andrew, Tom and Fiona were at the Cumberland Athletics Track bright and early on Saturday morning.
They were there to serve the very appropriate Cumberland Ring sausage baps to the crowds supporting Lee Riley in his attempt to break the World Record for running 1 mile in under 5 minutes 35 seconds whilst carrying a 40lb pack. Lee “annihilated” it and knocked 16.9 seconds off the 18 year old record – it was great to see Lee’s dream become a reality and we raised over £70.00 for the Poppy Appeal.

St Luke’s Hospice car visits Cheerbrook
The St. Luke’s hospice ‘win a car for £1’ visited us on Friday. Volunteers Ed & Sue were delighted that we found them a spot inside out of the rain, and we were able to keep them topped up with tea & toast!
